Procurement Expeditor

Role & responsibilities

• You will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, equipment, and documentation required for oil and gas projects.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that project timelines are met by monitoring supplier progress, ensuring on-time deliveries, and resolving any supply chain issues that may arise.
• You will be responsible for monitoring and tracking the status of purchase orders, materials, and equipment deliveries.
• You will be responsible for Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely production, shipment, and receipt of goods and services.
• You will be responsible for Identifying and resolving potential delays in the supply chain, ensuring that project timelines are maintained.
• You will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with suppliers and vendors to confirm order status, shipping schedules, and potential delays.
• You will be responsible for reviewing supplier progress reports and escalate issues as necessary to resolve bottlenecks.
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions related to delivery dates, packaging, and quality standards.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant project documentation, including shipping documents, certificates, and inspection reports, are properly maintained and accessible.
• You will be responsible for Coordinating with quality assurance teams to verify that received materials meet project specifications.
• You will be responsible for Working closely with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to provide regular updates on material delivery schedules.
• You will be responsible for assisting in resolving any discrepancies or conflicts between stakeholders regarding the timing or quality of materials.
• You will be responsible for facilitating communication between internal teams and external suppliers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• You will be responsible for coordinating with logistics teams to ensure efficient transportation and delivery of materials, often to remote or challenging project locations.
• You will be responsible for monitoring shipping and freight processes, ensuring timely customs clearance and transportation to the site.
• You will be responsible for Proactively identify potential risks to the supply chain, including delivery delays, quality issues, and logistical challenges.
• You will be responsible for developing contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain project timelines.
• You will be responsible for preparing and distributing regular progress reports on procurement and expediting activities.
• You will be responsible for Providing input into project scheduling and forecasting based on material delivery timelines.
