Procurement Head

About the role

Tertiary Hospital in Manila is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the hospital's procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of essential goods and services to support our patient-centric operations. Based in our Manila City, Metro Manila location, this role is pivotal in driving the hospital's operational efficiency and sustainability.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies and policies to achieve best value for money and drive continuous improvement
• Manage the procurement team, providing leadership, coaching and performance management to ensure the delivery of procurement objectives
• Oversee the sourcing, negotiation and procurement of a diverse range of goods and services, including medical supplies, equipment, facilities management and professional services
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable commercial terms and ensure reliable, high-quality delivery
• Analyse spend data, identify cost savings opportunities and implement measures to optimise procurement processes and inventory management
• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
• Contribute to the development of the hospital's overall strategic and operational plans

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Head of Procurement or senior procurement leader in the healthcare or manufacturing industry
• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management and inventory control
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing procurement team
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent procurement certification
