Procurement Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Supplier Research and Selection:

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery time, and reliability to meet organizational needs.

• Contract Negotiation and Management:

Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with vendors to secure advantageous agreements and maintain long-term supplier relationships.

• Purchase Order Management:

Create, approve, and oversee purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.

• Procurement Strategy Development:

Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies and policies aligned with business objectives.

• Budget and Cost Control:

Manage procurement budgets, conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.

• Supplier Relationship Management:

Maintain positive and productive relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and resolve disputes or issues.

• Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards while managing risks associated with supplier contracts.

• Collaboration:

Work closely with internal departments such as finance, operations, and logistics to align procurement with company needs.

• Market Analysis:

Monitor market trends, supplier innovations, and competitive pricing to inform purchasing decisions.

• Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate procurement records, prepare reports for management, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
