Procurement Manager

About the role

Lead the end-to-end procurement process for a diverse range of commodities and products within a general trading environment. Oversee and coordinate all international and domestic freight forwarding operations (Sea, Air, and Land). Manage all import/export documentation and customs clearance processes, ensuring strict adherence to international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and local customs policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end procurement process for a diverse range of commodities and products within a general trading environment, and freight forwarding

• Identify, evaluate, and establish strong partnerships with both domestic and international suppliers

• Oversee and coordinate all international and domestic freight forwarding operations (Sea, Air, and Land)

• Manage shipping schedules, cargo tracking, and ensure smooth transit of goods

• Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) with global suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers

• Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and global freight rates

• Implement cost-reduction strategies and optimize the supply chain network to maximize company profitability

• Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop proactive contingency plans

• Manage, mentor, and drive performance within the procurement and logistics teams

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, or a related field

• Minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience in Freight Forwarding company and Trading Company as a Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or similar leadership role

• Strong, hands-on background in both General Trading and Freight Forwarding industries

• Deep understanding of international trade laws, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS

• Solid experience in sourcing diverse categories of goods in a trading business model

• Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills

• Strong leadership abilities to manage, mentor, and drive performance within the procurement and logistics teams

• Professional fluency in English (both written and spoken)
