Procurement Manager

Role Description

We are looking for a strategic and commercially focused Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities and ensure the organisation obtains goods and services efficiently, competitively, and in accordance with business requirements. The role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimising costs, and maintaining effective procurement processes and controls.

Key responsibilities include developing procurement plans and sourcing strategies, managing supplier selection and evaluation, negotiating commercial terms, overseeing tenders and contract processes, and monitoring supplier performance. The Procurement Manager will collaborate with finance, operations, project teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, identify sourcing opportunities, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement outcomes.

The role also involves analysing market conditions and procurement spend, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing procurement risks, maintaining supplier records, and supporting continuous improvement of procurement policies and processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to build productive supplier relationships while maintaining high standards of integrity and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, supplier management, tender processes, and contract administration.
• Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Strong negotiation, commercial analysis, and supplier relationship-management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, governance, risk management, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Ability to analyse procurement spend, market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Familiarity with procurement systems, ERP platforms, contract-management tools, and reporting systems.
• Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement.
