This is a key commercial role requiring proven procurement and supply chain experience, strong negotiation and supplier management skills, and excellent NetSuite, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.

  • Negotiating supplier pricing, rebates, payment terms, freight arrangements, lead times, MOQs, and other commercial terms
  • Driving cost-saving and margin improvement initiatives while maintaining product quality and service levels
  • Managing international purchasing, including foreign currency exposure, payment requirements, freight, and landed costs

  • Reviewing inventory performance and working with internal teams to improve stock turns and working capital
  • Ensuring accurate product, supplier, cost, and pricing information is maintained within NetSuite
  • Developing procurement reports, KPIs, and commercial insights using NetSuite and Excel
  • Working closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Warehouse, and Customer Service to align procurement with business requirements
  • Supporting new product development and sourcing opportunities, including supplier identification, pricing, samples, and commercial negotiations
  • Driving continuous improvement across procurement, inventory management, forecasting, and supply-chain processes

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven procurement experience, ideally 5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, with experience at a senior or management level
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is highly desirable, including confident use of NetSuite reporting and inventory tools
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation and commercial procurement, with a track record of achieving improved pricing, terms, and supplier performance
  • Solid experience in international purchasing, including foreign currency transactions, freight, lead times, and landed-cost considerations
  • Strong inventory management, demand planning, and forecasting capability
  • Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of margins, working capital, stock turns, and cost management
  • Excellent supplier relationship management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and confident working with ERP and reporting systems
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, accountable, and collaborative approach with the ability to influence across the business

Why work with us?

  • Supportive, down-to-earth team environment
  • Locally owned and operated business with strong values
  • Opportunity to take ownership of and develop the procurement function
  • A commercially important role with the ability to make a measurable impact on business performance
  • Free lunches onsite every day
  • On-site parking and convenient Auckland location
  • Be part of a growing, future-focused company in the NZ packaging and hygiene industry
