The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement, supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and enterprise systems. You will work closely with manufacturing, production planning, logistics, warehouse management, operations, and finance teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen supplier relationships, and support business growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who enjoys solving complex operational challenges, using data to make informed decisions, and implementing technology-driven solutions that improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with overall business objectives, with a focus on cost reduction, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the complete procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, purchasing, purchase orders, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
- Identify qualified suppliers and evaluate vendors based on pricing, quality, delivery performance, capacity, reliability, and compliance.
- Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, favorable terms, quality standards, and dependable delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key suppliers and strategic business partners.
- Monitor supplier performance and develop corrective action plans when quality, delivery, or service issues arise.
- Manage procurement activities through ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or comparable enterprise platforms.
- Ensure procurement transactions, purchasing records, supplier information, and documentation are accurate and maintained according to company policies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production planning, logistics, warehouse management, operations, and plant management teams to coordinate supply chain activities.
- Support demand planning and production planning initiatives to accurately forecast material requirements and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and purchasing requirements while balancing customer demand, production schedules, supplier lead times, and working capital.
- Analyze procurement data, supplier performance, spending patterns, and operational KPIs to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Use Microsoft Excel, SQL queries, ERP reporting tools, and other analytical solutions to support data-driven procurement decisions.
- Develop and maintain procurement performance reports, forecasts, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
- Support the implementation and optimization of enterprise solutions related to procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehouse management systems (WMS), and manufacturing operations.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve procurement workflows through technology.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects focused on supply chain optimization, process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, controls, and best practices that promote consistency and accountability.
- Lead and mentor procurement team members while encouraging professional development, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate procurement strategies, supplier risks, cost trends, and operational challenges to leadership.
- Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify potential supply risks, pricing changes, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Requirements

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, inventory planning, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, or similar ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, production planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), inventory management, and warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating with suppliers and managing strategic vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate spending, supplier performance, inventory levels, forecasts, and procurement KPIs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, formulas, and preferably advanced spreadsheet functions.
- Experience using SQL or other data-querying tools for reporting and data analysis is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting or leading enterprise software implementation and process improvement projects.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), logistics operations, and supply chain technology.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
