Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager leads, strategically plans, and oversees all procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control activities for STAY Wellbeing & Lifestyle Resort. This role is responsible for establishing efficient supplier networks, negotiating high-value contracts, optimizing procurement costs, and ensuring seamless supply chain operations across all resort divisions (including F&B, Wellness/Spa, Rooms, Engineering, and Administration) while adhering to resort brand standards, sustainability principles, and Thai labor/business regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute strategic procurement plans aligned with the resort's financial targets and operational standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with local and international suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and superior product/service quality.
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with key vendors while conducting regular supplier performance reviews (vendor audits, quality checks, and delivery timelines).
• Source eco-friendly, organic, and sustainable products aligned with the resort's wellness and lifestyle positioning.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and volatile market pricing.
• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing cycle (PR to PO, receiving, storing, and issuing) using the hotel's inventory management system and modern software applications.
• Collaborate with Department Heads (F&B, Wellness, Culinary, Housekeeping, Engineering) to establish accurate par levels and anticipate procurement requirements without overstocking.
• Ensure strict adherence to inventory control procedures, including proper stock rotation (FIFO), month-end physical inventory counts, variance analysis, and waste reduction.
• Monitor purchasing budgets and analyze monthly spend patterns to identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and train the purchasing and storekeeping team to ensure high productivity, personal development, and accountability.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement within the luxury hospitality sector or high-end lifestyle resorts.
• At least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Deep working knowledge of hotel procurement and inventory systems with Comanche and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong contract negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings and vendor management.
• Solid understanding of hotel accounting procedures, cost-of-sales analysis, and budget control.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage a team and engage with executive stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced resort environment.
