Procurement Manager

Role Description The Procurement Manager will oversee strategic sourcing and purchasing activities related to mineral resources and associated services. This part-time, remote role involves identifying and qualifying suppliers, managing requests for proposals, and leading negotiations to secure favorable terms while ensuring supply reliability and compliance with organizational standards. The Procurement Manager will monitor market trends, assess supply risks, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with OFREMI’s mineral intelligence objectives. Daily tasks include evaluating supplier performance, maintaining contract records, optimizing procurement processes, and preparing reports and recommendations to support decision-making. The role may also involve contributing to the development of procurement policies and participating in cross-functional projects focused on resource security and industrial supply chains.

Qualifications

• Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including experience in strategic sourcing and supply management.
• Proficiency in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring to ensure reliability, quality, and compliance.
• Experience in contract negotiation and contract management, with the ability to secure favorable and sustainable agreements.
• Advanced analytical skills for assessing market trends, supply risks, and cost structures.
• Familiarity with mineral resources, industrial supply chains, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage part-time workload across multiple projects.
• Relevant academic background in procurement, supply chain management, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
