PROCUREMENT MANAGER

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join TIAN AN TRADING SDN BHD in a full-time capacity, based in Subang Jaya, Selangor. This is a strategic position within our organisation, responsible for overseeing all procurement activities and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services that support our business operations. As Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimising our supply chain, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost efficiencies whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies that align with company objectives and industry best practices
• Source, evaluate and select suppliers and vendors to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money
• Manage the complete procurement process from requisition through to delivery and invoice processing
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent service delivery
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies and procurement procedures
• Prepare and analyse procurement reports, including spend analysis and cost-saving opportunities
• Oversee inventory management and coordinate with relevant departments to forecast demand accurately
• Lead, mentor and supervise procurement team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce procurement costs

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement, supply chain or purchasing role, preferably in a Importer & Trading company

• Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, procedures and best practices within the Trading sectors

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the imports & exports industry

• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor and develop team members
