Procurement Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead Chassis & Platform or EV/HEV or ADAS / Connectivity or Indirect Procurement commodity portfolios. Develop & execute sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, deliver sustainable cost reduction, mitigate supply risks, and support business objectives. Accountable for achieving committed procurement performance targets, including cost savings, quality, service, risk management, and supplier performance within the assigned commodity scope

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

1. Commodity strategy and panel management

• Develop and deploy commodity strategies aligned with CPM objectives and business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand current and future sourcing needs.
• Evaluate, qualify, and rationalize supplier panels based on cost, quality, delivery, innovation, sustainability, and risk criteria.
• Conduct strategic supplier assessments and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Obtain required approvals for commodity strategies and ensure effective implementation across sourcing activities.
• Monitor market trends and supply market dynamics to support category strategy updates.

2. Sourcing Management

• Lead and govern sourcing initiatives in accordance with approved sourcing plans and procurement processes.
• Manage RFQ/RFP activities, including commercial analysis and supplier evaluation.
• Ensure technical evaluations and stakeholder approvals are completed before sourcing recommendations.
• Lead negotiations to achieve cost, quality, service, and contractual objectives.
• Present sourcing proposals to relevant governance committees for approval.
• Ensure timely issuance and administration of LOIs, purchase orders, and contracts in compliance with company policies inside the different Procurement tools.

3. Supplier Performance & Risk Management

• Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs for quality, cost, delivery, and service.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive corrective action plans where required.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier-related risks to ensure business continuity.
• Resolve supplier performance issues, contractual deviations, and commercial disputes.
• Monitor budget performance and cost variances, ensuring appropriate corrective actions.
• Validate contract execution and supplier deliverables, including project completion and close-out activities.
• Support timely resolution of payment disputes and supplier claims.

4. Procurement Performance & Operational Excellence

• Deliver annual procurement objectives, including savings, productivity, compliance, and risk management targets.
• Deploy commodity strategies and ensure effective execution across the assigned portfolio.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support supplier development initiatives to improve capability, capacity, quality, and service levels.
• Monitor supplier capacity and develop mitigation plans to address potential supply constraints.

5. Employee development

• Lead, coach, and develop Commodity Buyers to achieve individual and team objectives.
• Ensure a ONE Team spirit, being based on collaboration and self-development
• Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous learning within the team.
• Identify capability gaps and request appropriate training and development plans.
