Procurement Manager

About the role

Lead and manage the daily operations of the procurement department, developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with company objectives. This role encompasses strategic sourcing, vendor management, project procurement, cost control, and team leadership across local and international supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the procurement department
• Identify, evaluate and qualify new suppliers locally and internationally
• Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ISO standards, and statutory requirements
• Build and maintain a reliable network of local and overseas suppliers and subcontractors
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and contractual terms
• Work closely with Engineering and Project teams to understand project requirements
• Achieve annual procurement cost savings and analyse market trends and pricing
• Lead and develop the procurement team, establish procurement KPIs and monitor performance

About you

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience
• At least 3 years in a managerial role
• Experience in EPC, water treatment, environmental engineering, process engineering, industrial equipment, M&E or construction industries
• Knowledge of project procurement and contract management
• Experience managing international suppliers is preferred
