Procurement Manager

Role description

As Oystershell's Supply and Procurement Manager, you will play a central role in our organization, overseeing relationships with international manufacturers, negotiating supply agreements, and managing supply chain performance. You will oversee the supply of products for our customers and own brands in Europe and the United States.

You will also analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements and handle cost management. Additionally, you'll support our R&D department in developing new products, offering a valuable learning opportunity. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate to make a significant impact in our company's supply chain department and the broader business, given the dynamic nature of the consumer healthcare industry and the diverse responsibilities it entails.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

Commercial:

• Build strong partnerships with our international contract manufacturers (CMO).
• Yearly price negotiations with CMO’s & suppliers.
• Identify critical suppliers and implement Supply Agreements.
• Ensure contingency (back-up suppliers / CMO’s)

Analytical:

• Manage our product costs by strong analysis, derive necessary learnings and implement cost saving initiatives.
• Be in the driver seat to generate yearly budget cost of goods.
• Implement and follow-up supply chain related KPI’s, including monthly business reporting.
• Ad-hoc analysis & projects.
• Collect data: outline project risks, general process improvements, list of all ideas, initiatives and projects.

Project Management:

• Support in NPD projects (full project life cycle)
• Support in search of subcontractors: contact subcontractor, follow-up feedback subcontractor, book a production slot for a pilot/lab batch for R&D purposes.
• Take on supply chain related activities in Tech Transfer projects

Job REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

1. Master’s degree or equal through experience
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply and/or procurement function or a business analytical role

Technical Skills

• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
• Strong analytical skills in Excel
• Proven experience with an ERP package
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
