Procurement Manager (import)

About the role

This role encompasses procurement and strategic sourcing, international import management, supply chain and inventory planning, data analysis and reporting, and product management for sports and fitness products. You will source and evaluate suppliers, manage end-to-end import procurement from China, develop demand forecasts, analyze sales data, and support purchasing decisions with actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers, with a strong focus on manufacturers in China
• Negotiate pricing, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), payment terms, lead times, and shipping arrangements
• Compare supplier quotations and conduct cost-benefit analyses
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order fulfillment
• Manage end-to-end import procurement from China
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers
• Monitor production schedules and shipment timelines
• Review import documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Air Waybill, and Certificate of Origin
• Develop demand forecasts using historical sales and business trends

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain
• Proven experience importing products from China
• Experience negotiating directly with Chinese suppliers
• Strong understanding of international sourcing and import procedures
• Experience managing more than 5000 SKUs is highly preferred
• Experience using ERP, Inventory Management Systems, or Purchasing Systems
• Strong understanding of sports and fitness products, including Strength Equipment, Cardio Equipment, Functional Training Equipment, Home Gym Equipment, Fitness Accessories, Yoga & Pilates Equipment, Recovery & Mobility Products, and Commercial Gym Equipment
