Procurement Manager, Manufacturing Industry

About the role

Lead day to day sourcing and purchasing for assigned categories and coach a procurement team. You will report to the Regional Manager, Procurement and help keep production supplied while improving cost, supplier performance and supply resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and purchasing of assigned materials, equipment and services within delegated authority.
• Review requisitions and quotations, approve or process purchase orders as authorised, and negotiate supplier terms.
• Monitor prices, spend and savings opportunities; support alternative sourcing for critical items.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve shortages, quality concerns, delivery delays and invoice discrepancies.
• Support supplier selection, onboarding, qualification, performance reviews and audits.
• Coach procurement team members, allocate work and review performance; improve reports, records and procedures.
• Support the Regional Manager, Procurement with planning, risk management and improvement projects.

About you

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive procurement, purchasing or sourcing experience, including two years leading or supervising a team in manufacturing.
• Hands on experience with direct materials, supplier negotiation, purchase orders and delivery follow up.
• Strong Excel and ERP or procurement system skills, sound commercial judgement and clear communication.
• Experience with plastics, rubber, foam or contract manufacturing is an advantage.
