Procurement Manager / Senior Procurement Executive

About the role

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company business objectives. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, purchasing and delivery follow-up. Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality and timely delivery. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing requirements to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts and other commercial terms with suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Review and analyse purchasing costs to identify cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities
• Work closely with the Sales, Warehouse, Production, QA/QC and Finance departments to ensure smooth procurement operations
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, procedures and approval requirements
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders, quotations, supplier records and procurement documentation
• Monitor market trends, pricing and availability of materials/products
• Resolve issues relating to delivery, quality, pricing and supplier performance
• Prepare procurement reports, purchasing analysis and updates for management
• Lead and supervise the procurement team, including task allocation, performance monitoring and staff development

About you

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience for Procurement Manager or 3 years for Senior Procurement Executive
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, trading or related industries is an added advantage
• Strong negotiation, supplier management and communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with ERP/purchasing systems is an advantage
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage
• Willing to work in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan
