Procurement Manager / Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and results-driven Procurement Manager / Supervisor to oversee purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation, analytical, and planning skills, with the ability to optimize purchasing costs, ensure timely delivery of goods and services, maintain supplier performance, and support the company's operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies, purchasing plans, and procedures aligned with business requirements.
• Manage sourcing, supplier selection, quotation evaluation, purchase orders, and contract negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and service providers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions to achieve cost savings.
• Monitor inventory levels, purchasing requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Coordinate with finance, operations, warehouse, and other departments to meet procurement requirements.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, reliability, and service standards.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, budgetary controls, and approval procedures.
• Monitor market trends, material prices, and supply chain risks to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, purchase orders, contracts, and reports.
• Resolve purchasing issues, delivery delays, quality discrepancies, and supplier disputes.
• Monitor procurement budgets, spending patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Lead, supervise, and develop procurement team members to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
• For managerial roles, establish procurement strategies, oversee major contracts, manage supplier risks, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and purchasing practices.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in cost control, budget management, inventory planning, and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• High standards of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as CIPS or equivalent, are an advantage.
