Procurement Manager, Sweden

This is an opportunity that rarely comes along: a brand-new role, a clear mandate and the chance to shape how procurement is run in a growing energy company. Nevel is now looking for a Procurement Manager in Sweden, someone who wants to make a difference both to the business and to the green transition.

Nevel builds and operates energy and infrastructure solutions that help industries, property owners and municipalities make the transition. With around 200 employees, some 130 energy production plants and its own biogas production in Sweden, Finland and Estonia, the company is in the middle of an exciting growth journey. Backed by the international investment firm Ardian, Nevel continues to grow, including through acquisitions of local energy companies in Sweden.

About the role

Procurement responsibility has so far been spread across Finland and various Swedish departments. You will have responsibility for fuel, indirect procurement, operations and maintenance, and project procurement in Sweden. That gives you the opportunity to create structure, find savings and build processes that last.

You will be part of a five-person procurement team and report to the Head of Sourcing and Procurement in Finland. You will work with people across the whole organisation, from the management team to site staff at the plants.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies in close collaboration with the business
• Lead tendering and contract negotiations through to contract signing
• Establish and manage Nevel’s purchasing agreements and key suppliers
• Baseline, monitor and report spend by category
• Develop processes and digital tools together with the team
• Drive improvement initiatives, including competitive tendering and working capital optimization

Is this you?

You have around 3–6 years of procurement experience, have led contract negotiations and are ready to take the next step. Ideally, you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in technology, economics or a related field. You work fluently in both Swedish and English, and knowledge of Finnish is an advantage. No background in the energy sector is required. What matters is your drive and your results.

You are commercially minded and analytical, and you enjoy creating order where it is lacking. You build trust with colleagues and suppliers alike, stand your ground when needed and stay calm when the market shifts.
