SUMMARY: A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement administration, supplier management and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials to support production.

POSITION INFO: Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF 4 Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement administrative role within a production environment Valid RSA Driver's Licence and own reliable transport Experience in the animal feed industry will be advantageous Qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management or Agriculture will be advantageous Key Responsibilities Manage procurement documentation and record keeping Maintain accurate inventory records and anticipate raw material requirements Ensure timely delivery of raw materials Evaluate supplier pricing and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective action where required Liaise with Production, Quality Control and Finance to ensure raw materials are available when required Assist with procurement and operational planning Key Competencies Strong planning and organisational skills Problem-solving ability Ability to prioritise and work under pressure Strong attention to detail and critical thinking Operations coordination Delegation and follow-through Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
