Procurement Officer

About the Role

Job Scope The Procurement Officer is accountable for placing orders, following up on pending orders and reconciling vendor accounts while issuing vendor reports accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Main Duties and Responsibilities Preparing plans for the purchase of materials, tools, equipment, services, and supplies based on the project requirements.
• Managing deliveries, inventories and keeping accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Maintaining and updating all the supplier records and information including qualifications, delivery times, products ranges, services, etc.
• Researching and assessing prospective suppliers both local and international.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of the purchased goods and services.
• Compare and evaluate offers received from all the suppliers.
• Planning with the engineering team for any new requirement to procure.
• Keep record of delivery notes, orders and shipping documents.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Office.
