Procurement Officer

Roles & responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction and joinery materials, equipment, and services aligned with project timelines and budgets
• Conduct market analysis to identify construction and joinery suppliers and subcontractors; assess their capabilities, certifications, and project experience
• Source and manage suppliers for joinery materials such as wood, MDF, plywood, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishes
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and equipment vendors for construction projects, focusing on pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards
• Manage supplier relationships and performance for on-time delivery of materials to project sites
• Coordinate with project managers, the joinery factory, and the production team on material requirements and delivery schedules
• Monitor construction and joinery material costs and ensure budget compliance across projects
• Process purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation for audits and compliance

Desired candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5–8 years procurement experience in the construction/contracting and joinery industry
• Hands-on experience in procurement for joinery or fit-out works
• Professional certifications such as CPPO (Certified Professional Purchasing Officer) or CSCP are valued
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracting practices
• Good knowledge of joinery materials, hardware, and finishes, and their suppliers in the UAE market
• Experience managing multiple suppliers and construction projects simultaneously
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings
• Familiarity with construction project timelines and site requirements

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
