Procurement Officer

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to manage the end-to-end procurement process for our project and operational requirements. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, coordinating with vendors and site teams, negotiating prices and terms, placing purchase orders, and ensuring timely procurement while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day procurement activities for construction materials, electrical items, plumbing materials, sanitary fittings, tiles, hardware, tools, consumables, office requirements, and other project-related materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
• Negotiate prices, credit terms, delivery schedules, quality, warranty, and other commercial terms with vendors.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure procurement is carried out as per approved requirements.
• Coordinate closely with project/site, engineering, stores, accounts, and management teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
• Monitor pending purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery at site.
• Verify material specifications, quantities, rates, and other purchase details before placing orders.
• Coordinate with the site/store team regarding material receipt, shortages, damages, rejected materials, and replacements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Graduate in B.Com, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or project-based companies.
• Good knowledge of construction and building materials will be an advantage.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and email communication.
• Experience in preparing comparative statements, purchase orders, and procurement reports.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Good understanding of purchase processes, quotations, vendor negotiations, and invoice documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
