Procurement Officer

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to join us on a permanent full-time basis based in our Perth Office. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise, collaborate with experienced professionals, and make a meaningful impact in an exciting and supportive environment.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services as per company requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to meet operational needs.
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Analyse procurement trends and make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Assist in resolving supplier-related issues, including disputes and non-conformances.
• Other duties as required by the Contracts Manager.

About you

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles.
• Experience in the mining industry is desirable.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management.
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement and contracts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Pronto, Procore and SharePoint or similar systems is desirable.
• Attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
