PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Location: Chevron, Lagos
Work Schedule: Two days per week
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Management

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will manage the restaurant’s purchasing activities, ensuring the timely sourcing of quality ingredients, beverages, cleaning supplies, and other operational materials at competitive prices. The role supports inventory control, supplier management, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase food ingredients, beverages, packaging, cleaning supplies, and other approved materials.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with the restaurant and kitchen teams.
• Ensure purchased items meet required quality, quantity, and freshness standards.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and monitor expenditure.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and minimise stock shortages, wastage, and emergency purchases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or hospitality business.
• Good knowledge of food ingredients, beverages, perishable goods, and restaurant supplies.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and purchase documentation.
• Strong numerical, organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and basic procurement reporting.

Pay: ₦70,000.00 per month
