Job Description

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, equipment, and other goods and services needed to support the company’s daily operations. This role ensures timely procurement of quality products and services at competitive costs while maintaining compliance with company policies and procurement standards.

The position works closely with suppliers and internal departments such as Operations, Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Finance, and other business units to ensure timely fulfillment of requirements, proper inventory levels, competitive pricing, and efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, supplies, equipment, packaging, and other goods and services based on company requirements
• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with potential and existing suppliers
• Request and compare quotations, negotiate pricing and payment terms, and ensure competitive procurement costs
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding product specifications, availability, lead time, quality, and delivery schedules
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased items to support uninterrupted business operations
• Prepare and process purchase orders, canvass sheets, quotations, and other procurement-related documents
• Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely and complete deliveries
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements, specifications, and timelines
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ensuring sufficient stock based on operational requirements
• Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, reliability, and delivery
• Maintain an updated supplier database and accurate procurement records and reports
• Support cost-saving initiatives, supplier development, and process improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, approval processes, and applicable quality and safety requirements
• Assist in resolving issues related to deliveries, product quality, pricing, and supplier performance
• Perform other procurement-related tasks that may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
• At least 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain
• Experience handling multiple procurement categories such as food, non-food, packaging, equipment, supplies, or other operational requirements is an advantage
• Experience in F&B, food manufacturing, retail, FMCG, hospitality, or other related industries is an advantage
• Knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchasing processes, and basic price negotiation
• Experience in supplier coordination and performance monitoring
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP, purchasing, or procurement systems
• Knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and forecasting is an advantage
• Strong communication, negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with good cost-monitoring and problem-solving skills
• Able to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Willing to work on-site in Bangkal, Makati City
