Procurement Operations Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage Purchase Orders (POs) based on Oracle/SAP MRP Purchase Requisitions, including PO creation, amendments, updates, and supplier confirmations.
• Support sourcing activities assigned by the Category Manager, including data collection, analysis, and maintenance of procurement information in Oracle/SAP.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively follow up on shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve material supply issues, including delivery changes, shipment holds, and logistics-related matters.
• Support the resolution of material exceptions, including material shortages, quality issues, supply disruptions, and alternative sourcing requirements.
• Review demand and supply planning reports, such as DSI, to identify material shortages, excess inventory, and potential supply risks.
• Support the communication of demand forecasts and supply requirements to suppliers to facilitate capacity and production planning.
• Monitor inventory health, including dead stock, slow-moving, excess, and expiring materials.
• Support initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory and improve overall inventory turnover.
• Assist in resolving transactional and procurement-related issues, including Goods Receipt (GR) discrepancies, documentation mismatches, and pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain and monitor procurement data and reports, including PO backlog, supplier delivery status, material shortages, and inventory-related metrics.
• Prepare regular reports and provide relevant procurement data and analysis to support purchasing and supply chain activities.
• Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Category Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, MRP, material planning, buying, or sourcing support.
• Experience in the EMS, electronics, semiconductor, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, particularly in procurement, MRP, purchasing, or material planning functions.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, MRP, inventory management, supplier coordination, and material planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify supply risks, and track procurement and inventory performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams.
• Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
