What they need

At Nielsen, we are passionate about our work to power a better media future for all people by providing powerful insights that drive client decisions and deliver extraordinary results. Our talented, global workforce is dedicated to capturing audience engagement with content - wherever and whenever it’s consumed. Together, we are proudly rooted in our deep legacy as we stand at the forefront of the media revolution. When you join Nielsen, you will join a dynamic team committed to excellence, perseverance, and the ambition to make an impact together. We champion you, because when you succeed, we do too. We enable your best to power our future.

Join the transformation of our Global Procurement function! This is a high-impact, newly created role designed to scale Nielsen’s procurement operations globally. As a Procurement Professional, you will be a key player in enhancing long-term profitability and supporting sustainable growth while effectively managing global risks.

You won't just be running reports; you will develop and execute sourcing plans for indirect spend, maintain strategic supplier relationships, and take end-to-end ownership of key contracts. We need a skilled analyst who can navigate change and lead the assessment, selection, and negotiation of external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Align Nielsen's enterprise strategy with category strategies to deliver best-in-class products and services at the lowest possible cost.

  • Sourcing Leadership: Lead strategic procurement activities, including the assessment, selection, and management of externally contracted services.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate requirements and provisions (terms and conditions) to ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and enterprise policies.

  • Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders, identifying critical business requirements and providing sourcing services that exceed expectations.

  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for new business, process optimization, and system improvements to drive organizational efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reductions through deep analytics and leverage supplier capabilities to meet business needs.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.

  • Experience: 3–5 years in procurement with a proven track record of driving cost-saving initiatives and successful business outcomes.

  • RFX Management: Prior experience in the full sourcing lifecycle (Scoping, SOW Development, Evaluation, Negotiation, and Contract Transition).

  • Technical Savvy: Working knowledge of Ariba, P2P platforms, or spend analytics applications.

  • Global Mindset: Ability to adapt to different cultures and time zones; comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment.

  • Multitasking: Critical ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Passion: A genuine interest in the procurement space and negotiating enterprise agreements with large suppliers.
