Procurement / Purchasing Executive

CNS Construction Sdn Bhd is a CIDB G7 Main Contractor based in Melaka. We are currently looking for a responsible and organised individual to join our team and oversee our day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full purchasing process from material requests to Purchase Order (PO) issuance.
• Source and communicate with suppliers for construction materials, equipment and services.
• Request and compare quotations to obtain competitive pricing.
• Prepare, issue and follow up on Purchase Orders.
• Monitor order status and ensure materials are delivered according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with project and site teams on material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, delivery and any discrepancies.
• Maintain proper records of quotations, POs, invoices and delivery documents.
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers and maintaining good supplier relationships.
• Perform other purchasing and administrative duties related to procurement when required.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Construction Management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in purchasing or procurement is an advantage.
• Experience in the construction industry or knowledge of construction materials will be an added advantage.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to follow up on multiple orders.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
