PROCUREMENT SENIOR EXECUTIVE/EXECUTIVE

About the role

Manage the end-to-end procurement process for construction materials, equipment, services and subcontractor requirements. Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing, quality and favourable commercial terms.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain quotations and prepare price comparisons, cost analyses and supplier recommendations for Management approval
• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO) and other procurement-related documentation
• Review project requirements, specifications, quantities and delivery schedules before placing orders
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, QS, Engineers, Finance and site teams to ensure procurement activities meet project schedules
• Monitor outstanding orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services to project sites
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and other commercial conditions with suppliers
• Identify alternative suppliers and materials to achieve cost savings without compromising project specifications or quality
• Develop and maintain a reliable supplier and subcontractor database and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations
• Monitor procurement costs against the approved project budget and highlight potential cost overruns to Management
• Verify supplier quotations, invoices, delivery orders and supporting documentation before forwarding for payment processing
