Procurement Specialist

About the role

Coordinate, manage and maintain the procurement of capital and expense goods and services. Act as the point of contact for the procurement process between rig and vendor(s), ensuring communication and clarification of correct goods.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage and maintain the procurement of capital and expense goods and services
• Solicit competitive proposals from qualified suppliers
• Determine lowest total cost solution
• Develop, maintain and manage purchase orders
• Coordinate purchase process, negotiation and release of purchase orders
• Provide support to the supplier audit process
• Communicate updates to assist overall operations, project coordination, cost control and scheduling
• Negotiate purchasing agreements
• Coordinate between export packer and freight forwarder to ensure accuracy of export documentation
• Expedite all open or past due purchase orders

About you

• Diploma or Degree in any field
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Experience with offshore drilling equipment (added advantage)
• Able to multi-task in fast environment
• Highly detail oriented with good organizational skills
• Experience working on ERP systems; AMOS or SAP
