Procurement Specialist

About the role

Manage end-to-end procurement and contracting operations for EV charging stations nationwide. Responsibilities cover sourcing EV chargers (AC/DC), balance-of-plant electrical equipment (transformers/MDB), civil construction materials, spare parts, and turnkey installation contracts. Work closely with BD/Sales to run pre-bidding evaluations while awaiting customer POs, enabling immediate PO issuance upon client award to safeguard project margins and meet target commercial operation dates (COD).

Key responsibilities

• Procure EV chargers, IoT communication hardware, charging cables, and connectors; verify technical compliance documents and certifications (CE, IEC, TIS, FAT reports, and manufacturer warranties)
• Source substation transformers, MDB panels, main power cables (XLPE/NYY), and civil materials (concrete foundations, canopies, illuminated signage, wheel stops, and bay striping)
• Source, qualify, and evaluate turnkey civil and electrical installation contractors to maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) nationwide; oversee milestone payment terms and progress claims
• Review and cross-examine BOQs, TORs, and Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs) with engineering teams; perform unit-cost benchmarking to eliminate cost overruns
• Conduct pre-bidding during sales cycles and provide updated equipment lead-time schedules to BD/Sales for realistic COD commitments
• Negotiate long-term Framework Agreements for charger supply, critical spare parts, and preventive/corrective maintenance (PM/CM) tied to strict SLA benchmarks

About you

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of technical procurement or subcontract management experience in EV charging infrastructure, Solar EPC, Telecommunications rollout, or M&E / building systems contracting
• Proficient in reading and commercially analyzing BOQs, TORs, and electrical Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Strong understanding of EV charger technical specifications, distribution transformers, and power equipment, with an established network of local and international suppliers
