Procurement Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist, who will play a critical role in managing vendor relationships, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and executing competitive bidding for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate is a sharp negotiator, a proactive problem-solver who can identify alternative sourcing solutions, and an analytical thinker who keeps a close eye on market trends and price fluctuations.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Negotiation & Management: Lead pricing and contract negotiations with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms, discounts, and rebates without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
• Strategic Sourcing & Alternatives: Proactively research and identify alternative materials, products, and vendors to mitigate supply chain risks, diversify the supplier base, and drive cost-savings.
• Project Bidding & Estimation: Manage the end-to-end bidding and Request for Proposal (RFP) process for large-scale projects. Analyze project blueprints/specifications, compile material take-offs, and secure competitive vendor quotes.
• Price Tracking & Market Analysis: Maintain a rigorous tracking system for material price changes, analyze market trends, and provide regular forecasts to leadership to protect project profit margins.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and the Finance team to align procurement activities with project budgets, timelines, and technical requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing (experience handling large-scale project bidding is highly preferred).
• Proven track record of successful vendor negotiations and verifiable cost-savings

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement platforms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data analysis and price tracking.
• Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, contract law, and commercial terms (Incoterms).
