Procurement Specialist

The QTI Group has partnered with a manufacturing client in the Greater Madison area as they look to hire their next Procurement Specialist. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role will play a key role in the sourcing and negotiation of procured commodities/services and will coordinate the purchasing process of selected commodities. Responsibilities

• Perform various purchasing related functions including sourcing, negotiating and developing purchasing agreements with suppliers
• Obtain quotes from vendors, comparing quotes to identify competitive pricing
• Perform supplier analysis related to pricing and quality, selecting alternative suppliers when needed
• Database management including updating MRP data and report generation for various purchasing data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or similar field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain-oriented role
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred
