Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of Raw materials such as Fish, Cans & Lids, and Ingredients
• Source, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers.
• Request and compare quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial conditions.
• Process Purchase Orders (POs), and procurement documents.
• Monitor orders, deliveries, inventory requirements, and supplier performance.
• Handle and monitor service contracts, including sourcing, quotation, negotiation, renewal, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, QA, Warehouse, Finance, Logistics, and Legal.
• Monitor supplier compliance, quality requirements, certificates, and required documentation.
• Resolve supplier, delivery, quality, and commercial issues.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative suppliers.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing or food industry.
• Knowledge of supplier sourcing, canvassing, negotiation, purchase orders, and procurement processes.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple procurement activities and deadlines.
• Experience in raw materials, packaging materials, and production-related purchasing is an advantage.
