Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team on a contract basis. This role is based in Semarang, Jawa Tengah and will be fundamental to optimising our supply chain operations. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement practices that support our manufacturing objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and profitability of PT. iDELUX FURNITURE INDONESIA.

Responsibilities :

• Sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable conditions and maintain strong working relationships
• Processing purchase orders and managing the procurement documentation workflow
• Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse and production teams to ensure adequate stock availability
• Analysing market trends and commodity prices to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Conducting supplier performance reviews and implementing improvement initiatives
• Managing procurement budgets, database supplier and routine reporting
• Resolving supplier issues and addressing any discrepancies in deliveries or quality
• Maintaining accurate procurement records and preparing reports for management review
• Collaborating with cross functional department to align procurement activities with business requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management within furniture manufacturing or related industries is advantageous

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control systems

• Demonstrated experience with negotiation and contract management

• Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, record-keeping

• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Good understanding in English, both written and verbal

• Understanding of logistics and supply chain optimisation principles
