Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, purchasing operations, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives. This role is ideal for recent master's graduates who have foundational knowledge of procurement and supply chain management and some practical experience in purchasing, sourcing, or vendor coordination.

The successful candidate will help streamline procurement processes, maintain supplier relationships, analyze purchasing data, and ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, sourcing, and order tracking.
• Research potential suppliers and assist in evaluating vendors based on pricing, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• Request and compare supplier quotations to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Assist with supplier negotiations, contract administration, and vendor onboarding.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, purchase orders, and related documentation.
• Monitor supplier performance and help resolve delivery, quality, and pricing issues.
• Analyze procurement spending and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Support supplier compliance activities and ensure adherence to internal procurement policies.
• Prepare procurement reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with finance, operations, inventory management, and supply chain teams to meet purchasing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain operations.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, purchase order management, and purchasing procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to compare supplier quotations, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to learn procurement systems, sourcing practices, and supplier management techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, SAP Ariba, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with spend analysis, cost comparisons, and procurement performance metrics.
• Experience supporting supplier communications, purchase orders, or vendor coordination.
• Basic knowledge of contract administration, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data reporting tools.
