Procurement Specialist/Sourcer

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Procurement Specialist / Sourcer to support our procurement and sourcing activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying qualified suppliers, sourcing products and services, negotiating commercial terms, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that purchases are made competitively, efficiently, and in accordance with company requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and negotiation skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, capacity, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
• Conduct market research and supplier sourcing activities to identify competitive products, services, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Request and analyze quotations, proposals, and bids from suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Compare supplier offers and prepare sourcing recommendations based on cost, quality, service, and overall value.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Manage supplier communications, follow-ups, and commercial negotiations throughout the sourcing process.
• Monitor market trends, pricing movements, product availability, and supplier developments.
• Support the onboarding and qualification of new suppliers in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, quotations, contracts, and sourcing documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Operations, Finance, Sales, Logistics, and Management to understand purchasing requirements.
• Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, delivery timelines, and outstanding issues where required.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, alternative sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvement.
• Assist in resolving supplier performance, quality, pricing, and delivery issues.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare regular sourcing and procurement reports, including supplier comparisons, savings, spend analysis, and procurement performance.
• Support procurement projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or a related commercial role.
• Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to evaluate quotations and commercial proposals effectively.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, purchasing practices, and supplier management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with internal teams.
• Strong sense of commercial awareness and cost-consciousness.
