Procurement Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION: Major Functions

• Assist the Procurement Manager in the overall management, planning, and execution of Purchasing operations.
• Ensure the timely procurement of materials, supplies, and services at the best quality, cost, and value for the company.
• Review and verify all Purchase Orders (POs) for accuracy and completeness before they are approved and signed by the Procurement Manager.
• Supervise, coach, and develop procurement staff to enhance performance and productivity.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of procurement staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, and negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and conditions.

Specific Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier bids and quotations to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and procurement requirements.
• Communicate and distribute purchasing information to relevant stakeholders, including suppliers and internal end-users.
• Review and validate Purchase Requisition (PR) forms for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
• Manage supplier-related activities, including supplier qualification, accreditation, cost analysis, selection, evaluation, development, and classification.
• Oversee sourcing activities and develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) procurement.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least four (4) years of experience in plant and office expansion projects.
• Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and coordination.
• Strong integrity, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Preferably residing in Metro Manila or nearby municipalities, particularly in the Marikina area.
