Procurement Supervisor

About the role

Overseeing, planning, and coordinating all logistics service activities required for the company’s business operations—ranging from price negotiations to establishing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships with vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement of logistics services required for company business operations
• Plan and coordinate all procurement activities
• Negotiate pricing with vendors
• Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with vendors

About you

1. Minimum S1 degree in Logistics Management, Transportation Management, Business Management, Commercial Administration, or related field
2. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing in the Freight Forwarding/Logistics industry with 1–2 years at Senior Staff/Team Lead/Supervisor level
3. Extensive and strong vendor networking, particularly with shipping lines, airlines, and trucking companies
4. Understanding of customs regulations and operational documentation procedures for export-import
5. Advanced negotiation skills for contract development and cost-saving strategies
6. Fluent in English (spoken and written) and proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
7. Leadership qualities, analytical, critical, and tactical problem-solving abilities under pressure
8. High integrity and freedom from gratification/corruption practices in procurement processes
