Procurement Support

About the role

The Procurement Support position offers support and delivers end-to-end procurement activities, across the organisation, operating with a mix of independence and guidance appropriate to a junior level. The role combines hands on procurement delivery of day-to-day operational administrative support. The role is suitable for a junior level or a person wishing to embark on a career in procurement and can manage routine procurement activities. The role operates within a regulated healthcare environment and supports procurement activities involving products, quality systems and supply continuity considerations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end procurement activities for low to medium risk categories under established frameworks
• Work with the Procurement Specialist in sending out RFQ's (Request For Quotation) and compiling responses
• Raise and Manage purchase orders within delegated authority
• Resolve invoice, pricing and PO discrepancies in collaboration with Procurement Specialist and/or Finance
• Maintain Procurement records within Procurement Systems
• Maintain and use ERP and Procurement systems effectively
• Support improvements to procurement templates, processes and tools
• Assist in continuous improvement and growing the procurement function

About you

• 2+ years in Business Support role or Junior Procurement department
• Computer literate (Microsoft Excel particularly)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred understanding of ERP/MRP systems but training given
• Experience working in regulated healthcare environments, such as medical consumable or device products or pharmaceuticals
• Experience in Procurement activities
• Progress toward or interest in formal procurement or Supply Chain qualifications
