PROCUREMENT TEAM LEAD

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Team Lead to oversee procurement activities, manage supplier relationships and lead the purchasing team in achieving quality, cost and delivery objectives.

You will play a key role in strengthening supplier performance, optimizing procurement costs and ensuring a reliable supply of materials for our precision manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement activities, from supplier sourcing and selection to order fulfillment and delivery.
• Develop sourcing strategies and drive cost reduction and procurement optimization initiatives.
• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality and reliable delivery.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance against Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply disruptions, quality issues and price fluctuations.
• Lead, guide and support the purchasing team to meet internal stakeholders' requirements.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality and other departments to ensure timely material availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong commercial mindset.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for liaising with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
