PROCUREMENT TEAM MANAGER

1. Develops the company’s purchases strategy, policies and procedures aiming at achieving the targeted annual business plan.
2. Prepares the materials purchasing budget in light of the production volume targets and plan.
3. Reviews, and assess the accuracy of developed studies concerning the minimum and maximum levels and the economic order quantity.
4. Reviews the shipments plan for imported materials and follows-up its implementations.
5. Ensures the proper implementation of the approved policies and procedures.
6. Supervises adjusting the purchasing plan according to the actual production through the year taking into consideration the suppliers agreements and conditions.
7. Supervises the purchasing transactions and ensures the compliance with the approved policies, procedures and agreed upon specifications.
8. Apply sourcing criteria for alternative suppliers and new innovative materials and build up strong relationships with company’s approved suppliers.
9. Participate in the bids and quotations preparation, and ensures the compliance with approved policies and procedures to easy study, compare and recommend the optimal value offers and suppliers.
10. Continuous communicate with stores management about stock transactions, stores capacity, and materials turn over.
11. Studies and analyses the supplier’s performance and prepares reports from which decisions can be made.
12. Contact and negotiate suppliers and always try to get the best prices and conditions in light of the quality, quantity, delivery, returns, discounts, payments methods, special terms… etc.
13. Ensure issuing purchase orders based on the approved purchase requests from other departments and ensure costs within the budget and sign initials within the authority matrix.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. 10+ year experience in Purchasing preferably in Processed Food / Meat Industry

2. Needs to be Physically fit for all office & field based working conditions.

3. To develop and implement effective materials supply, procurement, and inventory strategies, policies, and procedures. Ensure timely availability of required materials and operational supplies at the right quality and specifications, while optimizing costs, inventory flow, storage, and purchasing efficiency.
