In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper stocking, merchandising, and maintenance of produce items while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with fresh produce, ensuring items are organized, properly labeled, and visually appealing to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department, including cleaning displays, packaging areas, and storage spaces
• Ability to cut fruits and vegetables for ready to go retail containers.
• Assist customers with inquiries about produce selections, provide product recommendations, and promote sales through friendly communication
• Monitor inventory levels regularly, perform stock counts, and communicate replenishment needs to management
• Support shipping & receiving processes by accurately processing incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing orders for distribution

Skills

• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a retail environment
• Experience operating pallet jacks, (preferred but not required).
• Proven organizational skills to keep the produce department tidy and well-stocked
• Knowledge of retail math for pricing, discounts, and inventory calculations
• Customer service orientation with the ability to engage positively with shoppers while promoting products and sales
• Familiarity with grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, packaging, cleaning, cashiering, and shipping & receiving processes
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment functions properly

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
