Produce Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily produce department operations, including stocking, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize freshness and minimize waste
• Manage purchasing and procurement of produce items by negotiating with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices
• Oversee pricing strategies, sales promotions, and merchandising layouts to attract customers and boost departmental sales
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, sanitation regulations, and food safety protocols to guarantee a safe shopping environment for customers and staff

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or grocery store operations with a focus on produce or perishable goods
• Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or managerial experience in retail or grocery settings
• Proficiency in inventory management and basic math for pricing and sales calculations
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, budgeting, and operational management to optimize store performance
• Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control, merchandising, stocking procedures, and store presentation
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and store operations

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
