Duties

• Supervise the produce department team, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a motivated and efficient workforce
• Manage inventory levels meticulously, utilizing inventory management systems to minimize waste and maximize freshness
• Coordinate purchasing and merchandising of produce items to ensure optimal stock levels, attractive displays, and competitive pricing
• Implement operational procedures for quality control, safety standards, and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulation
• Conduct regular store inspections to maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards that enhance customer appeal
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries promptly, and resolving issues effectively

Skills

• Strong management skills with proven experience supervising retail teams in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills in both managerial and customer-facing interactions; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
• Demonstrated expertise in retail sales strategies, merchandising, pricing, and operational management
• Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, and vendor relations to optimize product offerings and costs
• Ability to train staff on employee orientation, sales techniques, product knowledge, and safety procedures
• Sound organizational skills with adeptness in time management and shift supervision to meet store goals
• Knowledge of retail math including budgeting, sales analysis, and inventory control techniques
