Product cost Control Engineer

• Product cost and material cost forecasting in projects, ensuring accurate product content and cost information.
• Work with Engineering to create & update bills of materials
• Identify & capture product costs, risks, and opportunities from cross functional teams
• Product cost optimization and control/monitor product cost activities within projects
• Collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
• Support other PFEs, Finance Project Managers, CPMs, etc. in cost analysis.

Preferred Skills/competencies

• 5+ Years of professional experience in engineering, purchasing, or cost accounting background
• Previous Volvo Truck or chassis experience preferred
• Teamwork oriented - able to manage and structure large amount of data using MS excel (large amounts of data, pivot, etc.)
• Experience in heavy duty automotive industry (Volvo/Mack trucks)
• Financial skills or understanding.
• Being able to compile financial information and present in a structured way.
• Volvo specific tools (GPS, KOLA..)
