Classification Non-Exempt
Schedule Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM / 40 hours a week

Summary/Objective

The Catalog Coordinator supports the Catalog Manager in maintaining accurate, complete, and consistent product listings across the company’s inventory catalog. This role is responsible for validating and updating key product information—including costs, UPC codes, descriptions, categorization, vendor details, and related attributes—to support purchasing, sales, operations, and customer-facing product content. The Catalog Coordinator also assists with new product setup, large data uploads, store-specific product loading, data cleanup, and ongoing catalog maintenance.

Essential Functions

  • Product Listing Accuracy: Maintain complete and accurate product listings, including descriptions, images, UPC codes, manufacturer part numbers, product attributes, and categorization.
  • Vendor Cost Maintenance: Update and verify standard vendor “Into Stock” costs provided by procurement or suppliers, ensuring product records reflect current and accurate cost information.
  • Catalog Manager Support: Assist the Catalog Manager with various requests, including reporting, troubleshooting, and special projects.
  • Product Setup and Loading: Add new products and store-specific items to the inventory catalog, ensuring required fields, UPC codes, costs, categorization, and supporting product details are complete before release.
  • Data Verification: Review large product uploads for accuracy and completeness, including costs, UPC codes, descriptions, attributes, units of measure, vendor information, and product classifications.
  • Cost Group Management: Ensure cost groups are loaded and maintained correctly for all relevant products.
  • Vendor and Product Record Maintenance: Maintain current vendor and manufacturer information tied to catalog items so purchasing, sales, and operations teams can rely on consistent product records.
  • Inventory Catalog Management: Perform ongoing catalog maintenance, identify and correct inaccurate or duplicate records, resolve missing data, and support consistent product information across the full inventory catalog.

Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
  • Organized self-starter able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
  • Problem-solving skills to research issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Solid computer and data-management skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience maintaining large product or inventory catalogs; familiarity with ERP or product information systems is helpful.
  • Ability to listen, comprehend, and act on information from others.

Supervisory Responsibility

The Catalog Coordinator position will not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
