Mtrix replaces four tools, which means our one interface has to be better than all of theirs. You would be designing the dashboard brands check every morning, the builder they change their store with, and the replay player they use to watch real customers struggle and succeed.
This is a product-design role in the fullest sense: you own problems, not screens. You will work directly with engineers, prototype in whatever gets the idea across, and use the product's own session replays to see where your designs win or fail.
What you'll do
- Own flows end to end — research, exploration, high-fidelity design, and the follow-through after launch.
- Make dense data legible: dashboards, experiment reports, funnels, heatmaps.
- Design editing tools — the builder's canvas, panels, and interactions — where forgiving beats clever.
- Grow the design system so quality compounds instead of eroding.
- Watch real sessions of people using what you shipped, and act on what you see.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of shipped product interfaces — tools people used, not concepts.
- High craft in dense UI: typography, spacing, and hierarchy that hold up under real data, not lorem ipsum.
- You think in systems and design the edge cases — empty, loading, error, overflowing.
- Comfortable working directly with engineers, trading pixels for shipping speed when it is the right call.
Nice to have
- Motion design that explains rather than decorates.
- Enough front-end fluency — HTML/CSS, a little JavaScript — to prototype or refine in code.
- Time spent in analytics, developer tools, or ecommerce.
How we hire
- 01 You apply The form below is the whole application. A few lines on what you have owned beats a long CV — we read every one.
- 02 A real conversation A call about the work, the trade-offs, and whether the job we just described is the job you want.
- 03 A working session A short, realistic exercise close to the actual job. You will know exactly what to expect beforehand.
- 04 A clear answer A yes or a no, with reasons. We would rather respect your time than keep you guessing.
