Reports to: Product Manager / Operations Head

1. Job Purpose

To prepare accurate product costing and manufacturing costing for all art & craft products to ensure profitable pricing, margin control, and cost optimization.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Product Costing

1. Prepare detailed cost sheets for new art & craft products based on design, material list, and buyer requirements

2. Break down costs: Raw Material Wood, Metal, Resin, Fabric, Beads, Paints, Packaging, etc.

3. Revise costing for size changes, design changes, and quantity variations

4. Benchmark costing with similar products and competitor pricing

B. Manufacturing Costing

1. Calculate labor cost per product based on process time: Carving, Painting, Assembly, Polishing, Packing

2. Analyze process-wise cost: Handwork, Machine work, Finishing, QC

3. Track actual vs budgeted cost for each order and report variances

4. Identify cost-saving opportunities – material substitution, process efficiency, wastage reduction

5. Prepare costing for samples, bulk orders, and re-orders

C. Coordination & Reporting

1. Coordinate with Design, Production, Procurement, and Accounts for costing inputs

2. Maintain database of material rates, vendor rates, and historical costing

3. Prepare costing MIS, margin analysis, and cost variance reports

4. Support Sales/B2B team with pricing justification for buyers

5. Ensure costing accuracy for ERP and audit purposes
