Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategies aligned with identified business opportunities and target customer needs.

• Lead the design, development, and launch of insurance products in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Oversee product prototyping, testing, pricing, and commercialization processes.

• Drive flagship and priority products to achieve agreed revenue, loss ratio, and performance targets.

• Monitor business and product performance, including revenue, profitability, loss ratio, and channel effectiveness.

• Identify underperforming products, partnerships, or initiatives and recommend improvement, restructuring, or exit actions.

• Continuously refine products, pricing, and go-to-market strategies to strengthen competitiveness and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, commercial strategy, product development, or deal-driven roles, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams, including setting direction, prioritizing work, and driving delivery against business targets.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in business feasibility analysis, business case development, and financial modeling for new business initiatives.
• Strong understanding of insurance business economics, including products, underwriting considerations, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to structure and close commercially viable deals and partnerships.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with a clear bias toward execution and results.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
